Funder: Kaiser Permanente Colorado

Timeframe: 2014-2017

Purpose: Measure the extent to which funded school districts are meeting Colorado House Bill 1069 (600 minutes of physical activity for elementary students and 225 minutes for secondary students per month for the average student). Funding supported physical activity professional development for teachers and staff and resources to implement physical activity programming before, during and after school. The evaluation is assessing the number of minutes that are provided to students throughout the day using a web-based reporting system and conducting an in-depth evaluation of select schools using various methods (e.g., direct observation, accelerometers, surveys).
